Home School Consulting

As your child's parent and most important teacher, you have a unique opportunity to give them a rich learning environment. We will work together to determine how to best bring out your child's strengths so that he or she can reach his or her true potential. I can help you extend and enrich learning activities to challenge and engage your child with gifted abilities, as well as your child with special needs. Through an initial consultation, we will develop how to best tailor lessons and activities based on your child's strengths and needs. Services can be provided on a consulting basis or I can teach lessons to your child or other children in your homeschool network on a weekly basis. 

Example Home School Plan:

• Deliver lessons to small groups of home-school students during the week that provide creative learning experiences for children

• Follow up activities to do throughout the week to continue to promote creative learning

• Consult on ways to address different learning styles in the home

• Provide supporting materials to use throughout the week to reinforce taught concepts through play, art, and sensory activities

• Example language and vocabulary recommendations to promote consistency and transfer skills throughout the week

• Behavior consults that can include the creation of visual supports such as schedules and checklists

• Weekly phone conferences where the families are able to provide insight, share observations, and ask questions so that the child’s weekly lessons can be developed based on the child’s needs over the week
